CSR hosts a enterprise, a pop up horse box cafe (Holy Roast) that provides a unique touchpoint through a great cup of coffee.
Launched in the Summer of 2018, Holy Roast is set up on social enterprise principles, to provide a sustainable and memorable engagement tool.
THE HORSE BOX CAN BE BOOKED TO ENHANCE A RANGE OF PARISH EVENTS – please contact Gambol Parker E:gambol.parker@portsmouth.anglican.org
Usually in the Summertime, the cafe has hay bales and homemade lemonade and in the Winter offers mulled wine and the most delicious hot chocolate. The Holy Roast has ‘popped up’ at St Columba church, Fareham, St Michaels, Paulsgrove, at Stansted Park events and Portsmouth Cathedral.
The intention of the project is to provide good quality, fair priced, fair trade and environmental friendly drinks and cakes in unexpected places, church yards, school playgrounds and supermarket car parks. Offering community sign posting, highlighting the Good Neighbours Network and supporting the suspend a coffee scheme ( where a cup of coffee is pre-purchased for a homeless person) Holy Roast is also exploring setting up barista training days for young people looking for work through the St M’s project in Paulsgrove.
The Holy Roast Horsebox is also available for hire and can serve hot and cold drinks, including alcohol, for details E: gambol.parker@portsmouth.anglican.org
WE WOULD LOVE TO BE AT YOUR WEDDING SOMETIME SOON – MEANWHILE STAY WELL!
